A fail-safe differential satellite positioning system is configured to include a plurality of satellite positioning system receivers in close proximity of one another for determining independent pseudo range values which are processed in accordance with a selected averaging scheme for determining highly reliable satellite differential corrections.

La présente invention concerne un système de positionnement par satellite en mode différentiel, à sécurité intrinsèque, dont la configuration intègre une pluralité de récepteurs GPS situés à proximité les uns des autres et permettant de déterminer des valeurs de pseudo-distance indépendantes. Ces valeurs sont ensuite traitées au moyen d'un algorithme de moyennage sélectionné pour sa capacité à déterminer de façon très fiable les corrections satellitaires différentielles.
