Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren zur Validierung von Vorrichtungen zur Fotometrie lebender Gewebe, welches die folgenden Schritte umfaßt: In-vitro-Einstellen einer bestimmten Konzentration einer in einer Körperflüssigkeit zu erfassenden Substanz; Transportieren der auf die bestimmte Konzentration eingestellten Körperflüssigkeit zu wenigstens einer Meßzelle; Durchstrahlen der Körperflüssigkeit; und Erfassen einer Lichtintensität in wenigstens einem spektralen Fenster zur Bestimmung mindestens eines geeigneten Parameters in der Körperflüssigkeit, welche in der Meßzelle enthalten ist, mittels wenigstens eines Senders und wenigstens eines Empfängers, wobei man die effektive Absorptionslänge durch die Körperflüssigkeit aktiv auf definierte Art dynamisch verändert, ohne die Körperflüssigkeit zur Übertragung von Kräften einzusetzen, wobei die Körperflüssigkeit den optischen Raum zwischen Sender und Empfänger einnimmt; und Erstellen wenigstens eines Zusammenhanges zwischen der Konzentration einerseits und dem geeigneten Parameter andererseits. Dieses Verfahren liefert ganz besonders exakte Ergebnisse bei der Kalibrierung von Pulsoximetern. Die Erfindung betrifft auch Vorrichtungen zur Durchführung des Verfahrens sowie entsprechend kalibrierte Pulsoximeter.

The invention concerns a process for validating devices used for carrying out photometry of living tissues. The process involves the following steps: a specified concentration of a substance which is to be detected in a bodily fluid is set in vitro; the bodily fluid whose concentration has been set is transferred to at least one measurement cell; light is passed through the bodily fluid; a light intensity is measured in at least one spectral window to determine at least one suitable parameter in the bodily fluid contained in the measurement cell, using at least one transmitter and one receiver (the effective absorption length through the bodily fluid is actively and dynamically altered in a defined way without using the bodily fluid to transmit forces; the bodily fluid occupies the optical space between the transmitter and receiver); and at least one relationship is ascertained between the concentration, on the one hand, and the suitable parameter, on the other. This process gives particularly accurate results in the calibration of pulse oximeters. The invention also concerns devices used for implementing the process and associated calibrated pulse oximeters.

L'invention concerne un procédé de validation de dispositifs servant à la photométrie de tissus vivants, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes: fixation in vitro d'une concentration spécifique d'une substance à détecter dans un liquide organique; transfert du liquide organique dont la concentration a été fixée, vers au moins une cellule de mesure; irradiation du liquide organique et mesure d'une intensité lumineuse dans au moins une fenêtre spectrale pour la détermination d'au moins un paramètre approprié dans le liquide organique contenu dans la cellule de mesure, au moyen d'au moins un émetteur et d'au moins un récepteur (la longueur d'absorption effective à travers le liquide organique étant modifiée de façon active et dynamique de manière définie, sans utiliser le liquide organique pour le transfert de forces; le liquide organique occupant l'espace optique entre l'émetteur et le récepteur); établissement d'au moins une relation entre la concentration d'une part et le paramètre approprié d'autre part. Ce procédé fournit des résultats particulièrement exacts lors de l'étalonnage d'oxymètres de pouls. L'invention concerne également des dispositifs permettant d'appliquer ledit procédé ainsi que des oxymètres de pouls ainsi étalonnés.
