Abstract
(EN)
A rotatable seal element (38) is formed of at least two circumferentially continuous rings (48, 50). The rings have decreased thickness (T2, T3) in the outward direction. Various construction details are developed which effect the level of cyclic fatigue life. In one particular embodiment, the seal element has a flat surface (74) extending inwardly from the sides at the interface between the rings.

Un joint rotatif (38) est constitué d'au moins deux anneaux (48, 50) qui sont contigus circonférentiellement. Les anneaux ont une épaisseur (T2, T3) qui diminue dans la direction extérieure. Différents détails structuraux ont été étudiés pour augmenter la longévité à la fatigue. Dans une forme d'exécution particulière, le joint a une surface plate (74) s'étendant vers l'intérieur depuis les côtés à l'interface entre les anneaux.
