Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Plattieren von zwei oder mehreren Metallplatten, -bändern und dergleichen durch Absorption von Laserstrahlungsenergie. Die Vorrichtung verfügt dabei über strahlformende optische Mittel, die die Laserstrahlung zu einem Strahl mit rechteckförmigem Strahlquerschnitt umformt. Als Strahlquelle wird eine Gesamtlaserdiodenanordnung verwendet, bei der stets mehrere Laserdioden auf einer Ebene nebeneinander zu Laserdiodenbarren angeordnet sind und diese Laserdiodenbarren sowohl nebeneinander gelegt, wie auch gestapelt, zu beliebiger Länge geformt werden können. Zur Homogenisierung der Laserstrahlung der Gesamtlaserdiodenanordnung in einem rechteckförmigen Strahlquerschnitt sind besondere Mittel wie ein keilförmig zusammenlaufendes Prisma, eine Glasplatte mit rechteckigem Querschnitt und reflektierende Begrenzungsvorrichtungen und dergleichen vorgesehen. Der rechteckförmige Strahlquerschnitt erwärmt stets nur örtlich begrenzte Zonen geringer räumlicher Tiefe an den beiden zu plattierenden Oberflächen der Metallplatten in den plastischen Zustand. Darüber hinaus sind Meß- und Regelvorrichtungen zur Steuerung der Laserleistung der Gesamtlaserdiodenanordnung und/oder der Veränderung der Vorschubgeschwindigkeit der beiden miteinander zu plattierenden Metallplatten vorgesehen.

The invention concerns a device for plating two or more metal plates, strips, etc., by the absorption of laser energy. The device is fitted with beam-forming optics which form the laser radiation into a beam with a rectangular cross-section. Used as a radiation source is a laser-diode array in which several laser diodes are disposed next to each other in the same plane to give bars which can be laid next to each other, as well as stacked one on top of each other, in any numbers. In order to homogenize the laser radiation produced by the array to give a rectangular cross-section, the device proposed is fitted with special means such as a prism which converges in the shape of a wedge, a glass plate with a rectangular cross-section, reflective boundary drives, etc. The rectangular cross-section beam heats the two surfaces of the metal plates being plated only locally, over limited areas and to small depths, to the plastic state. In addition, sensors and control devices for control of the power of the laser-diode array and/or for changing the speed of advance of the metal plates being plated.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de plaquer au moins deux plaques ou bandes de métal ou similaire, par absorption d'énergie de rayonnement laser. Ce dispositif comprend à cet effet des éléments optiques générateurs de faisceau, qui transforment le rayonnement laser en un faisceau de section rectangulaire. La source de rayonnement utilisée est un système complet de diodes laser dans lequel plusieurs diodes laser sont disposées les unes à côté des autres sur un plan, de manière à former des barrettes. Ces barrettes de diodes laser peuvent aussi bien être placées les unes à côté des autres qu'empilées, pour donner lieu à toutes sortes de longueurs possibles. Afin d'homogénéiser le rayonnement laser du système complet de diodes laser en un faisceau de section rectangulaire, il est prévu des éléments particuliers tels qu'un prisme convergeant en cône, une plaque de verre de section rectangulaire et des dispositifs limiteurs réfléchissants et similaire. Le faisceau à section rectangulaire chauffe des zones de faible profondeur, uniquement limitées localement, au niveau des deux surfaces des plaques de métal à plaquer, pour les amener à l'état ductile. Il est prévu en outre des dispositifs de mesure et de régulation servant à réguler la puissance laser du système complet à diodes laser et/ou à modifier la vitesse d'avance des deux plaques de métal à plaquer.
