An electric discharge machine is provided with a fluid circuit in which a processing liquid is used to cool an electric discharge machining zone and remove chips, as well as lubricate a hydrostatic pressure bearing in a guide mechanism in a machine body, and a means for treating the processing liquid. The machine is provided with fluid passages (53-56) for lubrication which are used to supply a processing liquid which has been subjected to pressure increasing and dust filtering operations by the processing liquid treatment means comprising a pump (42) and a processing liquid filter (43) to a hydrostatic pressure bearing (59) in a hydrostatic fluid guide mechanism and recover the liquid, and a fluid passage (53) for the processing liquid which is used to supply a chip-filtered processing liquid to an electric discharge machining zone having an electric discharge machining electrode (20) and a work (32). Thus, the lubrication of the guide mechanism, the cooling of the electric discharge machining zone and the removal of chips are attained by using a common electric discharge machining processing liquid.

Machine à décharge électrique pourvue d'un circuit de fluide dans lequel le liquide d'usinage sert à refroidir la zone d'usinage par décharge électrique et à enlever les copeaux ainsi qu'à lubrifier le support de pression hydrostatique du mécanisme de guidage du corps de la machine, et d'un dispositif de traitement du liquide d'usinage. La machine est pourvue de canaux (53, 56) à liquides de lubrification qui servent à acheminer le liquide d'usinage ayant été soumis à une pression croissante puis à des opérations de filtrage des poussières par un dispositif de traitement du liquide d'usinage. Ce dispositif de traitement comprend une pompe (42) et un filtre à liquide d'usinage (43) pour le support de pression hydrostatique (59) du mécanisme de guidage de fluide hydrostatique. Il récupère le liquide, tandis qu'un canal (53) achemine le liquide d'usinage ayant subi le traitement de filtrage des copeaux jusqu'à la zone d'usinage par décharge électrique, laquelle comporte une électrode (20) et la pièce d'ouvrage (32). Ainsi, la lubrification du mécanisme de guidage, le refroidissement de la zone d'usinage par étincelage et l'enlèvement des copeaux s'effectuent en utilisant un seul et même liquide.
