Abstract

A digital data transfer apparatus which executes appropriate routing of digital data having two different formats, i.e., a serial-digital interface (SDI) format and serial-digital data interface (SDDI) format that is partially common to the SDI format. The apparatus includes first signal generator means (102) for providing data of a first transfer packet having the SDI format; second signal generator means (104) for providing data of a second transfer packet of the SDDI format having the same data length; and a first routing apparatus (20, 20A) having a first input terminal for receiving the data of the first transfer packet, and a second input terminal for receiving the data of the second transfer packet, for outputting first input data applied to the first input terminal and outputting the second data applied to the second input terminal from the second output terminal on the basis of the set routing information.

Appareil de transfert de données numériques exécutant l'acheminement approprié de données numériques revêtant deux types de format: le format interface numérique sériel (SDI) et le format interface de données numériques sérielles (SDDI), analogue en partie au format SDI. L'appareil comporte un premier système générateur de signaux (102), fournissant les données d'un premier paquet de transfert présentant le format SDI; un deuxième système générateur de signaux (104) fournissant les données d'un deuxième paquet de transfert présentant le format SDDI de la même longueur de données; et un premier appareil d'acheminement (20, 20A) comportant un premier terminal d'entrée recevant les données du premier paquet de transfert, et un deuxième terminal d'entrée recevant les données du deuxième paquet de transfert, afin de délivrer les premières données d'entrée appliquées au premier terminal d'entrée et de délivrer les deuxièmes données appliquées au deuxième terminal d'entrée à partir du deuxième terminal de sortie sur la base des informations d'acheminement déterminées.
