Abstract

An IR interface device (100) is connected over a wired port to a host computer (120), so as to provide an IR communication link between the host computer and another computing device (125) capable of IR communication. Such an IR interface device may also include a coupling to a printer device (130). An IR conference device allows communication between devices using different IR communication protocols by providing individual IR communication links to each of the communicating devices and passing data between the individual IR communication links. An IR transceiver integrated circuit with automatic gain control is provided.

Un dispositif d'interface IR (100) est connecté par un accès câblé à un ordinateur central (120) de manière qu'une liaison de communication IR soit assurée entre l'ordinateur central et un autre dispositif informatique (125) capable de communiquer par infra-rouge. Ledit dispositif d'interface IR peut également comprendre un raccordement à une imprimante (130).
