Abstract

This invention provides a method and apparatus to provide coordinated evasive maneuver commands to aircraft to avoid collision. More specifically, the invention comprises a gps system to determine the location of aircraft, control logic (68) to calculate evasive maneuvers, display aircraft tracking information, coordinate the evasive maneuver with the intruding aircraft, and give a synthetic voice warning and command to the pilots.

Méthode et installation permettant de donner à des aéronefs des instructions coordonnées de man÷uvres d'évitement pour éviter une collision. Plus spécifiquement, l'invention s'appuie sur le système international GPS de positionnement pour déterminer la position des aéronefs, une logique de commande (68) pour calculer les man÷uvres d'évitement, une visualisation de l'information de poursuite des aéronefs, une coordination des man÷uvres d'évitement avec l'aéronef concurrent et un système d'alerte et de commande par voix de synthèse aux pilotes.
