This invention relates to a process for material modification, modified products and apparatus thereof. In particularly, glow discharge is utilized in the material treatment which includes degreasing, grafting and surface modification. Said material is set in the positive charge area, i.e. in the neighborhood of the negative electrode, and inert gas or reactive gas is passed simultaneously through a vacuum chamber.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour modifier un matériau, les produits modifiés et l'appareil utilisé. En particulier, une décharge luminescente est utilisée dans le traitement du matériau comportant un dégraissage, une greffe et une modification de surface. Ledit matériau est placé dans la région de charge positive, c'est-à-dire au voisinage de l'électrode négative, et un gaz inerte ou un gaz réactif passe simultanément dans une chambre à vide.
