A valve (actuator) for performing pressurization, decompression and pressure maintenance drives plural spools movable up and down within a housing having plural bores by using linear shape memory alloys, and an anti-lock brake system utilizes the valve, in which respective bores have inlets and outlets, a mechanism for holding a lowering state of the spools is installed to the lower portion of the housing, and the spools return to their original positions by bias springs. A master cylinder, a wheel brake and a hydraulic pump are connected to the inlets and outlets of the valve of the anti-lock brake system and an electronic control unit is connected to the shape memory alloys to actuate the shape memory alloys, thereby attaining the operations of pressurization, decompression and pressure maintenance in connection with a brake pressure of the wheel brake.

La présente invention concerne une soupape (ou actionneur) employant des alliages à mémoire de forme linéaire. Cette soupape assure les fonctions de mise sous pression, de décompression et de maintien de pression, provoquant la montée et la descente de plusieurs bobines mobiles à l'intérieur d'un logement comportant plusieurs alésages. L'invention concerne également un système de frein anti-blocage faisant appel à cette soupape, où les différents alésages présentent des orifices d'admission et d'évacuation. La partie inférieure du logement comporte un mécanisme permettant de maintenir un état d'abaissement des bobines. Des ressorts sollicitent les bobines vers leur position d'origine. Un maître-cylindre, un frein de roue et une pompe hydraulique sont raccordés aux orifices d'admission et d'évacuation de la soupape du système de frein anti-blocage. Un contrôleur électronique connecté aux alliages à mémoire de forme permet d'actionner les alliages à mémoire de forme, ce qui lance les fonctions de mise sous pression, de décompression et de maintien de pression en fonction de la pression de freinage exercée sur le frein de roue.
