A vehicle resin-made shock absorbing member for use as a vehicle bumper beam and a production process thereof, wherein a vehicle resin-made shock absorbing member (10) is composed of a long curved portion (20) having a hollow portion, and mount portions (30) each provided contiguously from and integrally with the curved portion (20) at each of the two lengthwise ends of the curved portion (20), for mounting to a vehicle body (11). Each mount portion (30) has a hollow portion and a solid portion that is formed at least in a position located on a lengthwise extension of the curved portion (20) so as to allow the member (10) to be mounted from the front of the vehicle and to provide a sufficient shock absorbing capability over the entire length of the member (10).

On décrit un élément d'absorption de chocs en résine, destiné à être utilisé comme poutrelle de pare-chocs de véhicule, ainsi que son procédé de production. Cet élément d'absorption de chocs en résine (10) pour véhicules présente une longue partie incurvée (20) à segment creux, et des parties de montage (30) disposées chacune de façon contiguë à cette partie incurvée (20) dont elles font partie intégrante aux deux extrémités de la longueur, ce qui permet le montage sur la carrosserie (11) d'un véhicule. Chaque partie de montage (30) présente un segment creux, et un segment plein placé au moins dans une position située sur la longueur de la partie incurvée (20) pour permettre le montage de cet élément (10) depuis l'avant du véhicule et lui conférer une capacité d'absorption des chocs suffisante sur toute sa longueur (10).
