Abstract

An injection molding apparatus and a bushing (104) for use therein. Each bushing includes a conically shaped, distalmost section (176) extending substantially centrally into a mold gate (150). Each bushing also includes a distally opening annular cavity (190) between its distalmost section and its inner lumen (185). Melt flow facilitation means such as grooves (220) in the shoulders (210) also are provided. The configuration of the annular cavity creates a substantially uniform, distally directed melt flow at its open end for injection into an article formation cavity (156).

Appareil de moulage par injection et buse (104) utilisable dans ce dernier. Chaque buse comprend une partie (176) extrêmement distale de forme conique qui s'étend sensiblement au centre dans une entrée (150) de moule. Chaque buse comprend également une cavité annulaire (190) à ouverture distale située entre sa partie la plus distale et sa lumière interne (185). Des dispositifs facilitant l'écoulement de la matière fondue tels que des rainures (220) formées dans les épaulements (210) sont également prévus. La configuration de la cavité annulaire crée un écoulement de la matière fondue sensiblement uniforme et orienté distalement à son extrémité ouverte qui permet de l'injecter dans une cavité (156) formant des articles.
