Abstract

The invention concerns an iron-based powder for powder-metallurgically producing components by powder compacting and sintering. The powder, which essentially consists of 0.7 - 2.0 % of Mo, 0.2 - 2.5 % by weight of Cr and 0 - 3.0 % by weight of Cu, 0.05 - 0.25 % by weight of Mn and 0.3 - 1.0 % by weight of C, wherein Fe, Mo and Mn are present as a prealloyed, water atomised FeMoMn base powder, Cr is present as FeCr, Cu is present as a metal or partially prealloyed powder and C is present as graphite, exhibits very interesting properties. The invention also includes a method for preparing sintered components from this iron powder.

Poudre à base de fer utilisée dans la métallurgie des poudres pour la production de composants par compactage et frittage. Cette poudre, qui se compose essentiellement de 0,7 à 2,0 % de Mo, de 0,2 à 2,5 % en poids de Cr et de 0 à 3,0 % en poids de Cu, de 0,05 à 0,25 % en poids de Mn et de 0,3 à 1,0 % en poids de C, où Fe, Mo et Mn sont présents sous forme d'une poudre de base FeMoMn préalliée et atomisée dans l'eau, Cr est présent sous forme de FeCr, Cu est présent à l'état de métal ou de poudre partiellement préalliée et C sous forme de graphite. Cette poudre présente des propriétés très intéressantes. On décrit également un procédé de préparation de composants frittés à partir de cette poudre de fer.
