Abstract
(EN)
A device and method for assisting ventricular output in a human heart by compressing the heart (H). In the method, an electrocardiogram is generated as a function of the electrical activity of the heart, and an electromagnetic field is generated as a function of the electrocardiogram. A magnetic mat (10) is moved towards the vertebral body (V) to compress the heart (H) therebetween in response to application of the electromagnetic field thereto. The device includes a transducer (13) and control circuit (16) to regulate the compressive force applied to the heart.

Dispositif et procédé d'assistance à la fonction ventriculaire du coeur humain par compression du coeur (H). Le procédé consiste à générer un électrocardiogramme en fonction de l'activité électrique du coeur et à générer un champ électromagnétique en fonction de l'électrocardiogramme. On déplace un matelas magnétique (10) vers la région des vertèbres (V), afin de comprimer le coeur (H) entre ledit matelas et ladite région en réponse à l'application du champ magnétique au coeur. Le dispositif comprend un transducteur (13) et un circuit de commande (16) servant à régler la force de compression appliquée au coeur.
