Abstract

An animal confinement arrangement including a home base (1) for transmitting a modulated signal and a receiver (11) for receiving the modulated signal. The received modulated signal is demodulated using a demodulator (70). The demodulated signal is compared to a reference signal to produce a comparator signal indicating if the received modulated signal was transmitted by the home base (1). Also provided is variable sensitivity deterrent circuitry (50, 60, 59, 61) which is responsive to a strength level of the received modulated signal and to the comparator signal for producing a variable deterrent signal which is applied to an animal (7) if the comparator signal indicates that the received modulated signal was transmitted by the home base (1). Communication circuitry (400, 500) and an antenna design (141) allow the user to communicate with the animal (7). A low battery strength indicator (232-238) for the battery (231) in the receiver (11) is also provided.

Un système de confinement pour animaux comprend un point d'attache (1) pour transmettre un signal modulé et un récepteur (11) pour recevoir le signal modulé.
