A method of determining a response characteristic of a microwave device (14) comprises coupling a microwave resonator (9) to the device, loading the resonator with microwave radiation, monitoring the time decay of power from the resonator, and comparing the monitored time decay with a known characteristic of the time decay of radiation in the microwave resonator when loaded with radiation.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé pour déterminer une caractéristique de réponse d'un dispositif à micro-ondes (14), ce procédé consistant à coupler un résonateur à micro-ondes (9) avec ledit dispositif, à charger ce résonateur d'un rayonnement de micro-ondes, à contrôler le temps d'évanouissement de l'énergie du résonateur, et à comparer ce temps d'évanouissement contrôlé avec une caractéristique du temps d'évanouissement du rayonnement se trouvant dans le résonateur à micro-ondes, lorsque celui-ci est chargé de ce rayonnement.
