The proposed composite material comprises the following components in wt.%: natural or industrially produced earth: 8.0-75; dispersed waste slag produced in ferrous metallurgy and from which metal impurities have been removed: 10.0-79.5; alkaline activator: 0.5-5.0; water: the remainder. The industrially produced earth can be ash and slag produced in waste incineration plants or burnt foundry sand. The alkaline activator will be highly alkaline waste produced in industrial operations. The proposed process is based on the use of the proposed materials in the construction of roads and terrestrial structures and involves mixing the earth with a binder and an alkaline activator, wetting the mixture with water until its moisture content is between 10-12 % and subsequently laying and compacting the mixture on the earth bed.

Le matériau composite de l'invention comprend les constituants suivants en % en poids: terre naturelle ou produite industriellement 8,0 à 75; laitier résiduel dispersé produit en métallurgie du fer et dont on a éliminé les impuretés métalliques 10,0 à 79,5; activateur alcalin 0,5 à 5,0; eau le solde. La terre produite industriellement peut être de la cendre et du laitier produit dans des installations d'incinération de déchets ou du sable de fonderie brûlé. L'activateur alcalin est un déchet hautement alcalin produit dans des opérations industrielles. Le procédé de l'invention est basé sur l'emploi des matériaux proposés dans la construction de routes et de structures terrestres. Il consiste à mélanger la terre à un liant ainsi qu'à un activateur alcalin, à humidifier le mélange avec de l'eau jusqu'à ce que sa teneur en eau soit comprise entre 10 et 12 %, puis à poser et à compacter le mélange sur le lit de terre.
