An adhesive composition based on a combination of a water soluble amino silane and a normally water-immiscible alkenyl-functional silane wherein the latter is hydrolyzed in the presence of the former under specified conditions to form a stable, water-dilutable aqueous composition having marked bonding affinity between polymers and solid substrates.

Composition adhésive à base d'une combinaison d'un amino silane soluble dans l'eau et d'un silane à fonction alcényle normalement insoluble dans l'eau, ce deuxième silane étant hydrolysé en présence du premier dans des conditions déterminées, afin de former une composition aqueuse stable pouvant être diluée dans l'eau présentant une affinité de liaison marquée entre les polymères et les substrats solides.
