(EN)The application describes a beam sling for lifting structural members such as beams, the sling comprising a lifting strap (1) and a main body (2) through which the lifting strap can pass in order to form a loop, with one end of the strap locating in a slot (5) in the body member. The said one end of the strap (1) has an aperture (6) and the main body (2) includes a pin (7) which can move between a first position bridging the slot (5) and a second position free of the slot, whereby the apertured end of the strap can be held in the slot (5) by the pin (7). The pin (7) can be moved from the first to the second position by means of a rotational movement and an elongate member (9, 10) is provided to generate the rotational movement from a remote position.
(FR)Elingue de bôme servant au halage d'éléments de structure tels des bômes et comportant une courroie de levage (1) et un corps principal (2) que peut traverser la courroie (1) pour former une boucle tandis que l'une des extrémités de la courroie s'engage dans une fente (5) pratiquée dans le corps (2). Ladite extrémité de la courroie (1) présente un oeillet (6) et le corps (2) est pourvu d'un axe (7) mobile entre une première position où il ferme la fente, et une seconde position où il libère la fente pour permettre de retenir l'oeillet de la courroie dans la fente (5). L'axe (7) peut être amené de la première position à la seconde par un mouvement de rotation, et un élément allongé (9, 10) permet de produire ledit mouvement à distance.
