Abstract

A vaccine containing $i(Mycobacterium bovis) BCG which secretes a fused protein obtained by inserting a foreign antigen peptide to the surface of a molecule of a secreted protein having a signal peptide as a carrier. The BCG secretes a fused protein obtained by inserting a foreign antigen peptide to the surface of a molecule of an $g(a)-antigen originating in an acid-fast bacterium. As the fused protein has extremely enhanced antigenicity and immunogenicity, it is recognized, when inoculated into animals, by B cells which efficiently recognize the $g(a)-antigen, and can effectively induce the production of an antibody against the $g(a)-antigen. When the BCG itself is inoculated into an animal, it continues to secrete the fused protein while continuing to grow in the animal body, thus providing a very useful vaccine.

Vaccin contenant un B.C.G. de $i(Mycobacterium bovis) sécrétant une protéine fusionnée obtenue par insertion d'un peptide d'antigène étranger dans la surface d'une molécule d'une protéine sécrétée possédant un peptide de signalisation comme véhicule. Le B.C.G. sécrète une protéine fusionnée obtenue par insertion d'un peptide d'antigène étranger dans la surface d'une molécule d'un antigène $g(a) provenant d'une bactérie résistant aux acides. Le pouvoir antigénique et immunogène de la protéine fusionnée étant extrêmement renforcé, elle est reconnue, lors de l'inoculation chez l'animal, par des lymphocytes B qui reconnaissent l'antigène $g(a) et peuvent efficacement réduire la production d'un anticorps dirigé contre cet antigène. Lorsque le B.C.G. lui-même est inoculé à l'animal, il continue à sécréter la protéine fusionnée, tout en continuant à proliférer dans l'organisme de l'animal, et constitue ainsi un vaccin très utile.
