In a communication system where audio information transmitted from a telephone terminal (1) through an audio channel to a control station (5) is transmitted from the control station (5) through a time-division multiplex line (6) to a base station (8) and further transmitted from the base station (8) through a satellite repeater (13) to a mobile station (17), audio signals are shut out when audio information is transmitted from the control station (5) through the time-division multiplex line (6) so as to decrease the number of transmission channels from the base station (8) to the satellite repeater (13) to below an upper limit. The presence/absence of audio signal in each frame of each audio channel is successively detected at every time-division multiplex time slot and the number of channels through which audio information is transmitted is counted. When the count value exceeds the upper limit value, the audio signals are shut out.

L'invention concerne un système de télécommunications dans lequel des informations audio envoyées à partir d'un terminal téléphonique (1) par un canal audio à une station de commande (5) sont transmises depuis la station de commande (5) par une ligne de multiplexage dans le temps (6) à une station de base (8) et ensuite de cette dernière (8) à une station mobile (17) par l'intermédiaire d'un répéteur de satellite (13). Dans ce système, les signaux audio sont interrompus lorsque des informations audio sont transmises depuis la station de commande (5) par la ligne de multiplexage dans le temps (6), ce qui permet de diminuer le nombre de voies de transmission entre la station de base (8) et le répéteur de satellite (13) au-dessous d'une limite supérieure. On détecte successivement la présence/l'absence de signal audio dans chaque bloc de chaque voie audio à chaque intervalle de temps de multiplexage dans le temps, et on compte le nombre de voies par lesquelles les informations audio sont transmises. Lorsque le comptage dépasse la valeur limite supérieure, les signaux audio sont interrompus.
