A permanent magnet housing (3b) and a magnetic gap (3c) are formed in a rotor (3), and a permanent magnet (4) and its position are set designed so that the minimum value of the distance from a portion of a boundary surface of the permanent magnet housing (3b) on the rotor outer peripheral side corresponding to an end portion of the permanent magnet (4) in a transverse direction to a boundary surface of both spaces (3b, 3c) on the rotary shaft side becomes greater than the distance of the permanent magnet housing (3b) at a transverse end portion of the permanent magnet (4) in the direction of thickness. Thus, initial performance can be maintained by preventing demagnetization of the permanent magnet resulting from a reverse magnetic field, and the cost of a brushless DC motor can be reduced by reducing the volume of the permanent magnet.

Un rotor (3) comporte une enceinte d'aimant permanent (3b) et un entrefer (3c). Un aimant permanent (4) et sa position sont conçus de façon que la valeur minimale de l'écart mesuré, depuis la partie d'une surface limite de l'enceinte (3b) d'aimant permanent située sur la périphérie extérieure du rotor correspondant à une 1ère extrémité de l'aimant permanent (4) considéré selon un axe transversal, jusqu'à la partie d'une surface limite commune aux 2 espaces (3b, 3c) se présentant du côté de l'arbre rotatif, vienne à dépasser l'écart par rapport à l'enceinte (3b) d'aimant permanent au niveau d'une partie d'extrémité transversale de l'aimant permanent (4) selon le sens de l'épaisseur. Empêchant la démagnétisation de l'aimant permanent due à un champ magnétique inverse, cette configuration permet de maintenir le rendement initial, et de plus, la réduction du volume de l'aimant permanent permet de réduire le coût de production d'un moteur à courant continu sans balais.
