Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Materials zur Schwermetallabsorption oder zum analytischen Nachweis von Schwermetallen, insbesondere von Uran und Radium, weist folgende Schritte auf: Bereitstellen eines Materials, das in einem Polymer organisch gebundenen Stickstoff enthält; Behandeln des Materials mit Kaliumpermanganat in basischer Lösung; und Behandeln des Materials mit Eisen-II-Hydroxid in basischer Lösung. Das derart hergestellte Material eignet sich für ein Verfahren zum analytischen Nachweis von Schwermetallen und Schwermetallisotopen in einer Probenflüssigkeit sowie für ein Verfahren zur Reinigung von kontaminierten Flüssigkeiten.

The invention concerns a method of producing a material for heavy metal absorption or for analytically detecting heavy metals, in particular uranium and radium. The method comprises the following steps: preparing a material which contains nitrogen organically bonded in a polymer; treating the material with potassium permanganate in a basic solution; and treating the material with ferrous hydroxide in a basic solution. The resultant material is suitable for use in a method of analytically detecting heavy metals and heavy metal isotopes in a sample fluid and for a method of purifying contaminated fluids.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau permettant d'absorber des métaux lourds ou de déceler par voie analytique la présence de métaux lourds, en particulier d'uranium ou de radium. Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: préparation d'un matériau renfermant de l'azote lié organiquement dans un polymère; traitement du matériau au permanganate de potassium en solution basique; et traitement du matériau à l'hydroxyde ferreux en solution basique. Le matériau ainsi produit convient à un procédé permettant de déceler par voie analytique la présence de métaux lourds et d'isotopes de métaux lourds dans un fluide d'échantillon ainsi qu'à un procédé de purification de fluides contaminés.
