A rotary roller band device (8) having a central roller (10) disposed within a cluster of orbiting rollers (12, 14, 16 and 18) and rows of flexible bands (20) holding the rollers together in a self-supporting structure. The bands (20) are intertwined between the rollers such that as the rollers rotate the bands loop around and between the rollers. The bands engage each of the rollers in a low friction rolling contact that does not require lubrication. The bands each form a C-shaped loop. The central roller (10) is cupped inside the C of each band loop such that the outer surface of each band contacts with the surface of the central roller. The orbiting rollers are concentrically arranged around the central roller (10) and rotate counter to the cenral roller (10). Each of the orbiting rollers is disposed inside of the loop of each band such that the outer orbiting rollers engage the inner surface of each band.

Un dispositif (8) rotatif à bandes et rouleaux comporte un rouleau central (10) disposé au milieu d'un groupe de rouleaux excentrés (12, 14, 16, et 18), et des rangées de bandes souples (20) maintenant ces rouleaux solidairement dans une structure auto-porteuse. Les bandes (20) passent entre les rouleaux de façon que, lorsque ces derniers tournent, elles s'enroulent en boucle autour d'eux et entre eux en entrant en contact roulant à faible frottement avec chacun d'entre eux sans exiger de lubrification. Ces bandes forment chacune une boucle en C. Le rouleau central (10) est installé dans le C de chaque bouche de bande de façon que la surface externe de chaque bande entre en contact avec celle de ce rouleau central. Les rouleaux excentrés sont disposés de façon concentrique autour du rouleau central (10) et tournent dans le sens inverse de la rotation de ce dernier. Chacun des rouleaux excentrés est disposé à l'intérieur de la boucle de chaque bande de façon à entrer en contact avec la surface interne de chaque bande.
