Abstract

In an arrangement for balancing of a main mass (14) having an imbalance and rotating about an axis (18) balancing masses (23; 24) are used which are relatively freely moveable with respect to the main mass (14) and disposed in at least one closed path (22) symmetrically positioned around said axis (18). The main mass (14) is adapted to be rotated at speeds both below and above the critical speed and the path (22) is connected with the main mass (14) so as to rotate in synchronism therewith. Locking means (34, 36; 42, 43) are provided for locking the balancing masses (23; 24) relative to the path (22) at rotating speeds below the critical speed and for releasing the balancing masses (23; 24) for movement relative to the path (22) at rotating speeds above the critical speed.

Dans cet arrangement, qui sert à équilibrer une masse principale (14) présentant un déséquilibre dans sa rotation autour d'un axe (18), on utilise des masses d'équilibrage (23; 24), qui peuvent se déplacer selon un mouvement relativement libre par rapport à la masse principale (14) et qui sont disposées dans au moins un canal fermé (22), lequel est placé symétriquement autour dudit axe (18). La masse principale (14) est conçue pour tourner à des vitesses de rotation à la fois inférieures et supérieures à la vitesse critique, et le canal (22) est relié à la masse principale (14) de façon à tourner en synchronisme avec elle. Des moyens de verrouillage (34, 36; 42, 43) sont prévus pour bloquer les masses d'équilibrage (23; 24) par rapport au canal (22) à des vitesses de rotation inférieures à la vitesse critique et pour libérer les masses d'équilibrage (23; 24) afin qu'elles puissent se déplacer par rapport au canal (22) à des vitesses de rotation supérieures à la vitesse critique en question.
