Abstract

The invention provides a novel calcium-independent cytosolic phospholipase A2/B enzyme isolated from Chinese Hamster overy cells, of molecular weight 86KDa on SDS-PAGE, polynucleotides encoding such enzyme and methods for screening unknown compounds (inhibitors) for anti-inflammatory activity mediated by the arachidonic acid cascade.

L'invention concerne une nouvelle phospholipase A2/B cytosolique indépendante du calcium, isolée à partir de cellules d'ovaires de hamster chinois, de masse moléculaire de 86 KDa sur SDS-PAGE, des polynucléotides codant cette enzyme ainsi que des méthodes de criblage de composés inconnus (inhibiteurs) pour déterminer une activité anti-inflammatoire induite par la cascade de l'acide arachidonique.
