Abstract

A novel N-acyl-N-(substituted cinnamoyl)ethylenediamine derivative represented by general formula (I) and serving as an antiphlogistic and/or NGF production accelerator, (wherein R1 represents the acyl residue of a C16 or higher unsaturated fatty acid; R2 and R3 represent each independently hydrogen or lower alkyl; and n represents 1 or 2). This compound is expected to be usable as, for example, an antiphlogistic because it has the activities of O2- production inhibitor in human neutrophilic leukocytes and intracellular phospholipase A2 inhibition, and as a remedy for dementia, spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve injury, diabetic neuropathy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis because it has the activity of accelerating NGF production.

Un nouveau dérivé N-acyl-N-(cinnamoyl substitué)éthylènediamine représenté par la formule générale (I) agit comme agent anti-inflammatoire et/ou accélérateur de la production du facteur de croissance du tissu nerveux. Dans cette formule, R1 représente un groupe acyle correspondant à un acide gras insaturé en C16 ou supérieur, R2 et R3 représentent chacun d'une manière indépendante un hydrogène ou un alkyle inférieur et n vaut 1 ou 2. On s'attend à ce que ce composé puisse être utilisé, par exemple, comme agent anti-inflammatoire parce qu'il est efficace comme inhibiteur de la production de O2- dans les leucocytes neutrophiles humains et comme inhibiteur de phospholipase A2 intracellulaire, ainsi que comme remède contre la démence, les lésions de la moelle épinière, les lésions des nerfs périphériques, les neuropathies diabétiques et la sclérose latérale amyotrophique, en raison de son effet accélérateur sur la production du facteur de croissance du tissu nerveux.
