Es wird eine elektromechanisch betätigbare Scheibenbremse für Kraftfahrzeuge vorgeschlagen, die aus einem Schwimmsattel sowie einer am Sattel angeordneten Betätigungseinheit besteht. Die Betätigungseinheit weist einen Elektromotor auf, der unter Zwischenschaltung eines Untersetzungsgetriebes ein Betätigungselement verstellt, mittels dessen einer von zwei im Bremssattel verschiebbar angeordneten Reibbelägen mit einer Bremsscheibe in Eingriff gebracht wird. Um insbesondere die axiale Baulänge der Betätigungseinheit (2) zu reduzieren, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß der Rotor (10) des Elektromotors (6) ringförmig ausgebildet ist und das Untersetzungsgetriebe (7) radial umgreift.

The invention concerns an electromechanical disc brake for motor vehicles which comprises a floating caliper and an actuating unit disposed on the caliper. The actuating unit comprises an electric motor which, by connecting in a reducing gear, displaces an actuating element by means of which one of two friction linings displaceably disposed in the brake caliper are brought into engagement with a brake disc. According to the invention, in order to reduce the overall axial length of the actuating unit (2) in particular, the rotor (10) of the electric motor (6) is annular and engages radially about the reducing gear (7).

L'invention a pour objet un frein à disque à commande électromécanique pour véhicule automobile, comprenant un étrier flottant et un bloc de commande monté sur cet étrier. Le bloc de commande comprend un moteur électrique qui déplace, par interposition d'un démultiplicateur, un élément de commande au moyen duquel l'une des deux garnitures de frein montées mobiles dans l'étrier est mise en contact avec le disque de freinage. En vue, notamment, de réduire la longueur totale axiale du bloc de commande (2), le dispositif selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que le rotor (10) du moteur électrique (6) est de forme annulaire et coopère avec le démultiplicateur (7) en entourant radialement ce dernier.
