It is now possible to desulfurize gas having a non negligeable content of carbon dioxide by limiting the production of carbon oxisulfide to a very low level by treating said gas with adsorbants comprised of very small cristals of partially calcic zeolite A which are agglomerated by low iron clays with reduced acidity and basicity. Such clays may be obtained by phosphatation of montmorillonite, bentonite, attapulgite or kaolin.

Il est maintenant possible de désulfurer des gaz à teneur non négligeable en gaz carbonique en limitant la production d'oxysulfure de carbone à un très bas niveau en les traitant avec des adsorbants constitués de très petits cristaux de zéolite A partiellement calcique agglomérés par des argiles peu riches en fer et à basicité et acidité réduite. De telles argiles peuvent s'obtenir par phosphatation de montmorillonite, de bentonite, d'attapulgite ou de kaolin.
