Abstract
(EN)
An electronic ballast (10) includes a dual function power transistor (16) that supports both power factor correction and inverter functionality. To assist in controlling voltages across this transistor (16) during all phases of operation, two dual function diodes (21, 19) are provided. A boost inductor (14) is coupled to both the dual function power transistor (16) and the bulk energy storage capacitor (22) so that when the dual function power transistor (16) opens, energy from the boost inductor is transferred to the bulk energy storage capacitor (22).

Un ballast électronique (10) comporte un transistor de puissance à double-fonction (16) assurant à la fois les fonctions de correction de facteur de puissance et d'inversion. Pour simplifier la commande des tensions appliquées à ce transistor (16) pendant toutes les phases de fonctionnement, le ballast comporte également deux diodes à double-fonction (21, 19). Une bobine d'inductance de survolteur (14) est couplée à la fois au transistor de puissance à double-fonction (16) et au condensateur de réserve d'énergie (22), de façon que lorsque le transistor de puissante à double-fonction (16) devient passant, l'énergie en provenance de la bobine d'inductance de survolteur se transfère dans le condensateur de réserve d'énergie (22).
