A wide bright variety of colors within the visible spectrum may be obtained through light interference and multiple refraction in an anodized aluminium product by electrolytic deposition, on an aluminium substrate, of an anodic film of aluminium oxide, separated from the substrate by an interface of aluminium/aluminium oxide. The anodic film of aluminium oxide is comprised of at least three anodic layers of superimposed aluminium oxide which have different porosities and which are separated between each other by interfaces, the most internal of the anodic layers having a non-porous barrier layer arranged between the lower portion of its pores and the aluminium/aluminium oxide interface. Inorganic pigment material is deposited into the pores of the superimposed anodic layers and at least in portions of the interfaces between the layers, thereby producing the various colors by variation of the current and/or the time of deposition of the most internal anodic layer of aluminium oxide.

Se puede obtener una variedad amplia de colores dentro del espectro visible mediante interferencia de luz y refracción múltiple en un producto de aluminio anodizado, depositando electrolíticamente, sobre un substrato de base de aluminio, una película anódica de óxido de aluminio, separada del substrato por una interfase de aluminio/óxido de aluminio. La película anódica de óxido de aluminio comprende por lo menos tres capas anódicas de óxido de aluminio sobrepuestas, que tienen diferentes porosidades, y separadas por interfases entre sí, la más interna de las capas anódicas tiene una capa de barrera no porosa, dispuesta entre la parte inferior de sus poros y la interfase de aluminio/óxido de aluminio. Material inorgánico de pigmento se deposita dentro de los poros de las capas anódicas sobrepuestas y por lo menos en porciones de las interfases entre ellas, produciéndose los diferentes colores al variar la corriente y/o las condiciones de tiempo cuando se deposita la más interna de las capas anódicas de óxido de aluminio.

On peut obtenir une grande variété de couleurs dans le spectre du visible par l'intermédiaire de l'interférence de lumière et de la réfraction multiple dans un produit en aluminium anodisé, en déposant électrolytiquement sur un substrat de base en aluminium une pellicule anodique d'oxyde d'aluminium séparé du substrat par une interface aluminium/oxyde d'aluminium. La pellicule anodique d'oxyde d'aluminium comprend au moins trois couches anodiques d'oxyde d'aluminium superposées, lesquelles ont des porosités différentes et sont séparées entre elles par des interfaces, la plus interne des couches anodiques ayant une couche barrière non-poreuse disposée entre la partie inférieure de ses pores et l'interface aluminium/oxyde d'aluminium. On dépose un matériau inorganique de pigment dans les pores des couches anodiques superposées et au moins dans des portions des interfaces entre les couches, ce qui permet de produire des couleurs différentes en faisant varier le courant et/ou le temps du processus de dépôt de la couche la plus interne des couches anodiques d'oxyde d'aluminium.
