Abstract
(EN)
The present invention provides a process for the stereoselective reduction of phenylalkyl ketones to their corresponding (S)-hydroxy compounds. The process utilizes the novel microorganism $i(Microbacterium) MB 5614 to effectuate the chiral reduction. The present invention also provides said novel $i(Microbacterium), which has been deposited with the ATCC and assigned the accession number ATCC 55557.

Procédé de réduction stéréosélective de phénylalkyle cétones en leurs composés correspondants (S)-hydroxy. Ledit procédé utilise le nouveau micro-organisme $i(Microbacterium) MB 5614 pour effectuer la réduction chirale. La présente invention concerne également ledit nouveau $i(Microbacterium )qui a été déposé auprès de l'ATCC et auquel a été attribué le numéro d'accès ATCC 55557.
