Abstract
(EN)
An oscillator for oscillating a mold in a continuous casting apparatus has a motor, and a linkage connecting the motor to the mold. The linkage includes a pair of noncircular gears which are in mesh with one another. The noncircular gears are arranged and designed such that, during the major part of the displacement of the mold concurrently with a strand being cast in the mold, the speed of the mold exceeds the casting speed.

Oscillateur servant à faire osciller un moule dans un appareil de coulage en continu, pourvu d'un moteur et d'une liaison reliant le moteur au moule. La liaison comprend une paire d'engrenages non circulaires en prise l'un avec l'autre. Ces engrenages non circulaires sont conçus et disposés de sorte que, pendant la plus grande partie de la course du moule se produisant simultanément au coulage d'un toron, la vitesse du moule est supérieure à la vitesse de coulage.
