(FR) UTILISATION D'UNE ESPECE D'OXYDE D'AZOTE ET D'ADJUVANTS POUR INHIBER LA CONTRACTION DES MUSCLES SQUELETTIQUES
Abstract
(EN)
A method for inhibiting or relaxing skeletal muscle contractions which comprises contacting said skeletal muscle with a skeletal muscle relaxing amount, and a method for the treatment of disease states resulting from or exacerbated by undesirable contractions of skeletal muscle, which comprises administering a skeletal muscle relaxing amount to an individual in need thereof of a compound selected from the group consisting of nitroxyl ion (NO-), nitrosonium ion (NO+), nitric oxide and nitric oxide adducts or providers. This invention also is directed to stimulating the contraction of muscles in a mammal by administering an effective amount of a nitric oxyde synthase inhibitor.
(FR)
