A method and an apparatus for the moulding of an inhomogeneous product, such as an ergonomically shaped car seat pad, from a raw material mass in a gas-pervious mould (10). The mould includes two main parts moving towards each other (12, 14) and is fitted in a gas flow in such a way that the hot gasflow (30) flows through the mould (10) and through the raw material mass (28). In the mould it is composed before the cooling of the product at least two different zones (24, 26, 44, 46, 48, 50). In the first zone (26, 44, 48) it is composed a raw material mixture of greater density than in the second zone (24, 46, 50), either by pressing the opposite parts of the mould (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 38) towards each other at a longer distance at the point of the first zone than at the point of the second zone; or so that the first zone (48) of the mould is filled with a more dense raw material mixture than the second zone (50), by arranging a bigger flow-through of the gas-flow carrying the raw material mass through the openings (52) in the mould parts (54) confining the first zone than through the openings in mould parts confining the second zone.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour mouler un produit non homogène, tel qu'un coussin ergonomique de siège de véhicule, à partir d'un matériau brut, dans un moule (10) perméable aux gaz. Le moule comporte deux parties principales (12, 14) se déplaçant l'une vers l'autre, et une alimentation en gaz agencée pour que l'écoulement de gaz chaud (30) circule à travers le moule (10) et le matériau brut (28). Avant le refroidissement de la masse, on peut distinguer au moins deux zones différentes dans le moule (24, 26, 44, 46, 48, 50). Dans la première zone (26, 44, 48), le matériau brut a une densité plus élevée que dans la seconde zone (24, 46, 50). Ceci est réalisé soit en pressant les parties opposées du moule (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 38) l'une contre l'autre sur une plus grande distance au niveau de la première zone qu'à celui de la seconde zone, soit en assurant un écoulement plus important du gaz transportant le matériau à travers les ouvertures (52) dans les parties (54) du moule renfermant la première zone qu'à travers les ouvertures dans les parties du moule renfermant la seconde zone, ce qui produit un remplissage de la première zone (48) du moule avec un matériau plus dense que dans la seconde zone (50).
