A method for desorbing a hydrophobic protein, such as a lipase, from a carrier comprises treating a preparation comprising the hydrophobic protein immobilized by adsorption on a hydrophobic polymeric carrier with a desorption liquid comprising water, a water-miscible organic solvent and an alkali. The enzymatic activity of an immobilized lipase preparation which has wholly or partly lost its activity may be restored by such a desorption treatment followed by a readsorption treatment with fresh lipase. Immobilized lipase preparations regenerated in this manner are well suited as catalysts in, for example, the synthesis, hydrolysis or interesterification of esters.

Le procédé de désorption d'une protéine hydrophobe telle qu'une lipase à partir d'un support, consiste à traiter une préparation constituée d'une protéine hydrophobe immobilisée par adsorption sur un support polymère hydrophobe avec un liquide de désorption contenant de l'eau, un solvant organique miscible à l'eau et un agent alcalin. L'activité enzymatique d'une préparation de lipase immobilisée qui a perdu une partie ou la totalité de son activité peut être restaurée par une telle désorption, suivi par l'absorption de lipase fraîche. La préparation de lipase immobilisée régénérée de cette manière peut être utilisée comme préparation catalytique, par exemple pour la synthèse, l'hydrolyse ou la transestérification d'esters.
