Abstract
(EN) An electromagnetic propagation tool using magnetic dipole antennas comprising small current loops having characteristics of a point dipole is presented. The electromagnetic tool comprises a drill collar segment having at least one dipole antenna for each transmitter and/or receiver antenna. The dipole antennas are disposed within pockets formed in the drill collar segment.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un instrument de propagation électromagnétique composé d'antennes dipôles magnétiques comprenant de petites boucles de courant et possédant les caractéristiques d'un dipôle ponctuel. L'instrument électromagnétique comprend un segment annulaire de forage possédant au moins une antenne dipôle pour chaque antenne émettrice et/ou réceptrice. Les antennes dipôles sont placées dans des poches formées dans le segment annulaire de forage.
