Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus to determine the identification, position and/or orientation of multiple devices within an interrogation zone (6). The apparatus equates the received signal to a point/region in the interrogation zone (6), based upon an attribute/component of the received signal. A method to determine the location, position, orientation and/or identification of at least one device within an interrogation zone (6). The method equates an attribute/component of the received signal to a point/region in the interrogation zone (6). Wherein the attribute/component could be field strength or signal power ratio. A 'C' shaped interrogator coil (1, 2, 3, 4) formed from 2+'L' shaped coils. A multiple identification system that allocates a number of receiver channels for multiple identification and allocates 1+ other channels specifically for communication with 1+ devices. An interrogator having receiver coils (1, 2, 3, 4) wherein 1+ coils (1, 2, 3, 4) have a particular angular orientation to an axis. A specific application is multiple identification tag distinguishing in airline baggage handling/sorting.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un appareil destiné à identifier de nombreux objets ainsi qu'à déterminer la position et/ou l'orientation de ceux-ci dans une zone d'interrogation (6). Cet appareil met en équation le signal reçu depuis un point/une région dans la zone d'interrogation (6), d'après une caractéristique/composante du signal reçu. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé permettant de déterminer l'emplacement, la position, l'orientation d'au moins un objet et/ou d'identifier celui-ci dans une zone d'interrogation (6). Ce procédé met en équation la caractéristique/composante du signal reçu depuis un point/une région de la zone d'interrogation (6), cette caractéristique/composante pouvant être l'intensité du champ ou le rapport de puissance du signal. Une bobine d'interrogation en forme de 'C' (1, 2, 3, 4) est formée à partir d'au moins deux bobines en forme de 'L'. Un système d'identification multiple alloue un certain nombre de canaux de réception permettant une identification multiple, et alloue au moins 1 autre canal de manière spécifique pour permettre la communication avec au moins un objet. Un dispositif d'interrogation est doté de bobines de réception (1, 2, 3, 4) parmi lesquelles au moins une bobine (1, 2, 3, 4) est orientée de manière à former un angle particulier avec un axe. On utilise notamment ce système d'identification multiple pour différencier des étiquettes lors du tri et de la manipulation des bagages des passagers de lignes aériennes.
