Abstract:
(EN) A disposable electronic assay device (2) comprises a card-like housing (8) containing a sample receptor (4) for receiving a sample of body fluid containing an analyte to be determined, a sample treatment means (10) for reaction with sample fluid components to yield a physically detectable change for producing an electrical signal which correlates with the amount of analyte in the sample, a detector (20, 22) responsive to the signal, a signal processor (32) connected to the detector (20, 22) for converting the electrical signal to a digital test result output, and visually readable output means (6) connected to the signal processor means (32) for receiving and presenting the test result output.
