Abstract:
(EN) An elastic nonwoven web of microfibers of radiation crosslinked ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers. The web has an elongation to break of at least 400 percent and generally is comprised of meltblown microfibers. The ethylene/alpha olefin is preferably an ethylen/1-octene copolymer having a density less than 0.9 g/cm3 and a melting point of less than 100 °C.
(FR) L'invention concerne un voile non tissé élastique de microfibres constitué de copolymères d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine réticulées par rayonnement. Le voile présente un allongement à la rupture d'au moins 400 pour cent et se compose généralement de microfibres soufflées à chaud. L'éthylène/alpha-oléfine est de préférence un copolymère d'éthylène/1-octène dont la densité est inférieure à 0,9 g/cm3 et le point de fusion est inférieur à 100 °C.
