Abstract

A galvanic isolation device, particularly for a computer modem, comprises an optical coupler (1) formed from a light-emitting diode (11) and a photo-transistor (12), a first control stage for the light-emitting diode (11), and a second signal output stage. It is characterized in that it comprises means (GCC) of biasing of the photo-transistor (12) to make it operate in its saturated state, and in that the output stage comprises a fixed-gain amplifier circuit (3, 4) receiving the collector current of the said photo-transistor.

Un dispositif d'isolation galvanique, particulièrement destiné à un modem d'ordinateur, comprend un coupleur optique (1) constitué par une diode électroluminescente (11) et un phototransistor (12), un premier étage de commande destiné à la diode (11), et un second étage de sortie de signaux. Le dispositif se caractérise en ce qu'il comprend des moyens (GCC) permettant de polariser le phototransistor (12) afin qu'il fonctionne en un état saturé, et en ce que l'étage de sortie comprend un circuit amplificateur (3, 4) à gain fixe recevant le courant collecteur dudit phototransistor.
