Jointing of cables by means of a jointing body (1) and a mounting tool (5), wherein the jointing body (1) is made of an elastic material for jointing two cable ends into a cable and wherein the jointing body (1) is characterized in that its ends are each designed as end portions (2) with a longitudinal hole (3), said end portions re-sealing around the respective cable cores (10, 11) on each side of a joint, and that between these end portions (2) there is an elongated, substantially cylindrical inner space (4) with a cross section area larger than the cross section area of the holes (3) of the end portions (2). When applying the jointing body (1) to the joint, a mounting tool (5) is used which comprises a mounting pipe (8) and an extension cone (6) insertable into said mounting pipe, said mounting tool (5) when jointing by means of the cone being primarily inserted into one end portion (2) of the jointing body (1), the end portion (2) of the jointing body (1) being expanded onto the mounting pipe (8) which has a larger inner diameter than the cable core, whereby the jointing body (1) can be easily fitted over the cable core when the extension cone (6) has been withdrawn from the mounting pipe (8). The same procedure is used for the other end portion (2) of the jointing body (1), said end portion thus being expanded in the same way, allowing the jointing body (1) to be easily fitted over one of the cable cores. After joining the conductors, the jointing body (1) is centered over the joint, whereupon the mounting pipes (8) are withdrawn from the respective end portions (2) of the jointing body (1) and removed, which results in the end portions (2) re-sealing around the respective cables.

Procédé de raccordement de câbles par l'intermédiaire d'un corps (1) de raccordement et d'un outil de montage (5). Le corps (1) de raccordement est composé d'une matière élastique permettant de réunir deux extrémités de câble en un seul câble, ce corps (1) étant caractérisé par le fait que ses extrémités sont conçues comme des parties terminales (2), dotées d'un trou longitudinal (3), qui sont replacées en contact étanche autour des âmes de câbles respectives (10, 11) de chaque côté d'un joint, et par le fait qu'entre ces parties terminales (2) se trouve un espace interne allongé, sensiblement cylindrique (4) dont la section est supérieure à celle des trous (3) pratiqués dans les parties terminales (2). Afin d'appliquer le corps (1) de raccordement au joint, on utilise un outil de montage (5) qui comprend un tube de montage (8), et un cône d'extension (6) pouvant être introduit dans le tube de montage. Cet outil de montage (5) est principalement introduit, lorsqu'il effectue le raccordement par l'intermédiaire du cône, dans une partie terminale (2) du corps (1) de raccordement, laquelle est élargie sur le tube de montage (8) qui présente un diamètre interne supérieur à celui de l'âme du câble, ce qui permet d'adapter aisément le corps (1) de raccordement sur l'âme du câble lorsque le cône (6) a été enlevé du tube de montage (8). Le même processus est utilisé pour l'autre partie terminale (2) du corps (1) de raccordement, cette partie terminale étant élargie de la même façon, permettant ainsi d'adapter aisément ledit corps (1) sur l'une des âmes du câble. Après raccordement des conducteurs, le corps (1) de raccordement est centré sur le joint, après quoi les tubes de montage (8) sont tirés des parties terminales respectives (2) du corps (1) de raccordement et enlevées, ce qui remet en contact étanche lesdites parties terminale (2) autour des câbles respectifs.
