Abstract

This invention provides an assembly capable of connecting a flat flexible cable directly to circuitry without pins or sockets and without regard to line width or pitch. This allows the use of one cable configuration for various interconnects that would have otherwise required multiple custom cable configurations. The invention provides flat flexible circuitry whose insulation is configured to provide a resilient spring force sufficient to force exposed conductors of the circuitry firmly against conductors of devices to interconnect when the flexible circuitry is retained by a catch system on said device.

L'ensemble de raccordement selon l'invention permet de connecter directement un câble flexible plat à un circuit, cela sans broches ni douilles, et sans qu'il soit nécessaire de tenir compte de la largeur ou du pas des rubans. Cela permet l'utilisation d'un seul type de câble pour effectuer divers raccordements qui, normalement, auraient nécessité l'utilisation de plusieurs types de câbles particuliers. L'invention concerne également un circuit flexible plat dont l'isolation est conçue de façon telle qu'une force élastique suffisante maintienne les conducteurs à nu du circuit fermement contre les conducteurs des dispositifs à raccorder lorsque ledit circuit flexible est retenu par un système d'arrêt sur ledit dispositif.
