(EN)This invention relates to a method of increasing the insecticidal spectrum and/or toxicity of $i(Bacillus thuringiensis) strains whereby an exogenous crystal toxin encoding DNA sequence is stably integrated into the chromosomal DNA of a host B.t. wherein the exogenous DNA sequence is expressed and further wherein crystal toxin encoding DNA sequences on resident plasmids may be expressed. The invention further relates to the B.t. host including said exogenous DNA sequences, methods of preparing said host, insecticidal compositions containing said host and methods of use.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'augmenter le spectre insecticide et/ou la toxicité de souches de $i(bacillus thuringiensis) (b.t.). Ledit procédé consiste à intégrer de manière stable une séquence d'ADN exogène codant des toxines cristallines dans l'ADN chromosomique d'un b.t. hôte dans lequel la séquence d'ADN exogène est exprimée et dans laquelle les séquences d'ADN codant les toxines cristallines sur des plasmides peuvent être exprimées. L'invention porte également sur l'hôte b.t. comprenant lesdites séquences d'ADN exogènes, sur des procédés de préparation dudit hôte, des compositions insecticides contenant ledit hôte et leurs procédés d'utilisation.
