(EN)A process for the preparation of 2,3,5,6-tetrachloropyridine of formula (I) consists in that 3,3,5-trichloroglutarimide of formula (II) is reacted either a) with phosphorus trichloride or phosphorus oxytrichloride or mixtures thereof in the presence from the start of catalytic amounts of hydrogen chloride, followed by a conversion of polyphosphorus compounds formed into phosphorus oxytrichloride by supplying chlorine, optionally only after supplying further phosphorus trichloride, or b) with phosphorus trichloride and chlorine, optionally in the presence of phosphorus oxytrichloride as a solvent, followed by a dehydrochlorination of the reaction mixture and finally conversion of polyphosphorus compounds formed into phosphorus oxytrichloride by supplying chlorine, optionally only after supplying further phosphorus trichloride.
(FR)Procédé de préparation de 2,3,5,6-tétrachloropyridine de formule (I), selon lequel on fait réagir du 3,3,5-trichloroglutaramide de formule (II) avec: a) du trichlorure phosphoreux ou de l'oxytrichlorure phosphoreux ou des mélanges de ces derniers en présence depuis le début de quantités catalytiques de chlrorure d'hydrogène, puis on transforme les composés polyphosphoreux obtenus en oxytrichlorure phosphoreux en ajoutant du chlore, facultativement seulement après avoir rajouté du trichlorure phosphoreux; ou bien avec b) du trichlorure phosphoreux et du chlore, facultativement en présence d'oxytrichlorure phosphoreux en tant que solvant, puis on déshydrochlore le mélange de réaction et, pour terminer, on transforme les composés polysphosphoreux obtenus en oxytrichlorure phosphoreux en ajoutant du chlore, facultativement seulement après avoir rajouté du trichlorure phosphoreux.
