Ein Isolierband für eine Wicklung einer elektrischen Maschine, insbesondere einer rotierenden Maschine, besteht aus einem elektrisch durchschlagfestem Material wie beispielsweise Glimmer, einem Trägermaterial wie beispielsweise Glasseide und einem thermoplastischem Kleber, der das Isolierband zusammenhält. Der Kleber besteht erfindugsgemäß aus einem Thermoplast, dessen Dauergebrauchstemperatur unterhalb derjenigen Wärmeklasse liegt, für die die Wicklung vorgesehen ist. Dennoch weist die Isolierung der Maschine nach dem Imprägnieren der Wicklungsisolierung mit einem härtbaren Harz die notwendige mechanische und elektrische Stabilität auf.

An insulating tape for the winding of an electric machine, in particular a rotary machine, consists of an electric breakdown-resistant material, such as mica, of a support material such as glass silk and of a thermoplastic adhesive for holding together the insulating tape. The adhesive consists of a thermoplastic material having a continued use temperature lower than the insulation class provided for the winding. The machine insulation has however the required mechanical and electric stability, after the winding insulation is impregnated with an hardenable resin.

Un ruban isolant pour l'enroulement d'une machine électrique, notamment d'une machine rotative, est constitué d'un matériau résistant au claquage électrique, tel que le mica, d'un matériau de support tel que la soie de verre et d'un adhésif thermoplastique qui donne sa cohésion au ruban isolant. Selon l'invention, l'adhésif est constitué d'une matière thermoplastique dont la température d'utilisation prolongée est inférieure à la classe d'isolation prévue pour l'enroulement. L'isolation de la machine présente toutefois la stabilité mécanique et électrique requise, une fois que l'isolation de l'enroulement a été imprégnée d'une résine durcissable.
