At least one circular ridge (130), which projects upwardly beyond the surface (124) of the navel (24) of the thread delivery device (22), is placed in the path of yarn (Y) being removed from the peripheral wall (112) of the spinning chamber and delivered to the throat of the navel. The ridge (130) has a height of at least 0.003' and is radially located in proximity to the edge of the navel so that the yarn being formed and lifted from the wall of the spinning chamber first engages the navel at the ridge (130). The result of the engagement of the yarn with the ridge (130) is that the twist is reduced and a higher break strength is achieved with a reduction in imperfections.

Au moins une arête circulaire (130), formant une saillie vers le haut au-delà de la surface (124) de l'orifice central (24) du dispositif de production du fil fini (22), se trouve dans le trajet du fil non fini (Y) provenant de la paroi périphérique (112) de la zone de torsion et introduit dans le passage de l'orifice central. L'arête (130) possède une hauteur d'au moins 0,003' et est placée radialement du bord de l'orifice central, de telle manière que le fil en formation soulevé de la paroi de la chambre de torsion vient d'abord en contact avec l'orifice central au niveau de l'arête (130).
