In eimem Verstärkergehäuse (10) ist eine erste Kammer (12) durch eine bewegliche Wand (16) von einer zweiten Kammer (14) getrennt, die ständig an eine Unterdruckquelle angeschlossen ist. Ein erstes gesteuertes Ventil (20) verbindet in einem Ruhezustand die beiden Kammern (12, 14) miteinander und trennt sie von einem Einlaß (38) für Umgebungsluft. Bei Betätigung trennt dieses Ventil (20) die beiden Kammern (12, 14) voneinander und verbindet die erste Kammer (12) mit dem Einlaß (38) für Umgebungsluft. Das Verstärkergehäuse (10) enthält ferner einen Druckraum (42), der einen an ein zweites gesteuertes Ventil (50) anschließbaren Einlaß (46) für Druckluft aufweist und mit der ersten Kammer (12) verbunden ist, um diese mit Druckluft zu füllen. Zwischen dem ersten gesteuerten Ventil (20) und dem Einlaß (38) für Umgebungsluft ist ein Rückschlagventil (82) angeordnet, das Umgebungsluft im wesentlichen unbehindert zum ersten gesteuerten Ventil (20) strömen läßt, ein Entweichen von Druckluft zur Umgebung hin jedoch verhindert. Dadurch wird ein bei Bedarf rascher Druckaufbau in der ersten Kammer (12) sichergestellt.

In a brake servo housing (10), a first chamber (12) is separated by a movable wall (16) from a second chamber (14) which is permanently connected to a vacuum source. In an inoperative position, a first controlled valve (20) interconnects the two chambers (12, 14) and separates them from an ambient air inlet (38). When it is operated, this valve (20) separates the two chambers (12, 14) and connects the first chamber (12) to the ambient air inlet (38). The housing (10) also contains a pressure chamber (42) having a compressed air inlet (46) connectable to a second controlled valve (50) and connected to the first chamber (12) in order to fill the latter with compressed air. Between the first controlled valve (20) and the ambient air inlet (38) there is a check valve (82) which allows ambient air to flow freely to the first controlled valve (20) but prevents compressed air from escaping into the environment. Thus a rapid build-up of pressure in the first chamber (12) is ensured when required.

Dans un boîtier de servofrein (10), une paroi (16) mobile sépare une première chambre (12) d'une seconde chambre (14) reliée en permanence à une source de vide. Lorsqu'elle est actionnée, cette soupape (20) sépare les deux chambres (12, 14) l'une de l'autre et relie la première chambre (12) à l'orifice d'aspiration (38) d'air ambiant. Le boîtier (10) comprend en outre une chambre de pression (42) qui comporte un orifice d'aspiration (46) d'air comprimé, raccordable à une seconde soupape (50) commandée, et qui est reliée à la première chambre (12) afin de la remplir d'air comprimé. Un clapet de retenue (82) placé entre la première soupape (20) commandée et l'orifice d'aspiration (38) d'air ambiant permet à l'air ambiant de s'écouler sensiblement librement jusqu'à la première soupape (20) commandée, tout en évitant que l'air comprimé ne passe dans l'environnement. Ce procédé permet d'assurer une montée en pression rapide dans la première chambre (12).
