Abstract

A control system for a display monitor (210) that includes pre-stored distortion correcting waveforms in digital memory. An internal command processor (200) controls the timed output of the stored correction waveforms as converted into analog form for combination with a video image signal in timed relationship so that the corrective values in each waveform act to cancel distortions associated with the processing of the video signal on the selected monitor. The correction waveforms are generated during the manufacturing of the display monitor by a feedback system (110) that measures monitor display distortion and calculates corrective parameters for the distortion which are then stored in addressable locations. This provides a comprehensive correction for distortions that were previously nearly impossible to remove.

Système de commande pour un moniteur d'affichage (210) qui comprend des formes d'ondes de correction de distorsion prémémorisées dans une mémoire numérique. Un processeur de commande interne (200) commande la sortie synchronisée des formes d'ondes de correction mémorisées converties sous une forme analogique afin de la combiner à un signal d'image vidéo selon un rapport synchronisé, de sorte que les valeurs correctrices dans chaque forme d'onde agissent de façon à supprimer les distorsions associées au traitement du signal vidéo sur le moniteur choisi.
