Die Saugwalze (13) hat einen perforierten Walzenmantel (14), durch den sich ein stationären Luftleitkörper (15) erstreckt. Dieser hat eine derart gekrümmte Leitwand (15'), daß die radiale Dicke (d) des Zwischenraumes (17) mit der Umlaufrichtung des Walzenmantels (14) zunimmt und zwar beginnend an der Ablaufstelle (16a) einer Längsdichtleiste (16) und endend an der Zulaufseite (16b) dieser Längsdichtleiste (16). Die Längsdichtleiste (16) ist in einem kleinen Abstand vor einer Stelle (A) angeordnet, an der ein Stützband (10) zusammen mit einer Papierbahn auf den Walzenmantel (14) der Saugwalze (13) aufläuft.
